    The Professional Squash Association's World Series starts tomorrow, June 6th and runs through June 10th. Featuring the top 8 men and top 8 women squash players in the world, the World Series Finals is the culmination of all the season's tournaments up until this point. Harrow Sports is proud to have three of our sponsored players competing in the prestigious event taking place in Dubai.   • #TeamHarrow's Karim Abdel Gawad is the New World No. 1!

    [ May, 1, 2018 ]  - Karim Abdel Gawad has become the new World No. 1, topping the Professional Squash Association's Men's World Rankings for May 2017. Gawad is only the fifth Egyptian in history to reach the #1 spot.

    25-year-old Gawad has had an impressive season, first ranking as World No. 8, and going on to claim 5 PSA World Titles. In the 2016/2017 season, he became the first home player in 18 years to win the Al Ahram Open in front of the Great Pyramid of Giza, and three months later became the 2016 PSA Men's World Champion. He then triumphed over the (former) World No. 1, Mohamed ElShorbagy at the Qatar Classic, and (former) World No. 1 Gregory Gaultier at the J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions. Gawad's most recent title came just last week at the Houston Open.

  • Gawad is the 2017 TOC Champion

    2017 TOC ChampionsKarim Abdel Gawad is the 2017 J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions winner. Currently World. No. 2, this was Gawad's first time reaching the TOC Finals and he beat World. No 3, Gregory Gaultier to win 6-11, 11-6, 12-10, 11-6.

  • Gawad Named Squash Player's Male Player of the Month

    Harrow ELITE Team's Karim Abdel Gawad has been named Squash Player of the Month of December by Squash Player magazine. An "overwhelming winner" in their words, the acknowledgement comes after his recent World Champion title and first World Series title.

  • PSA December Rankings: El Welily & Gawad both World. No 2

    The December 2016 rankings marks a first for #TeamHarrow, as two ELITE Team Members have risen to World. No 2! In the women's rankings, Raneem El Welily is second in the world, while Karim Abdel Gawad is World No 2 for Men.

    Also in the top 10 for Women are Amanda Sobhy and Omneya Abdel Kawy.  Annie Au, Joshna Chinappa, Heba El Torky, and Donna Urquhart round out the top 20.

    In the men's rankings, Marwan ElShorbagy rose one position from last month, up to number 6. Also in the top 20 are Tarek Momen and Ryan Cuskelly.

    Announced November 1st, this month's PSA World Rankings counted Raneem El Welily, Amanda Sobhy and Omneya Abdel Kawy in the Women's Top 10 as well as Karim Abdel Gawad, Marwan ElShorbagy, and Tarek Momen in the Top 10 for Men.

    After three turns at the Olympic Games, Rachel Dawson ended her prestigious career on a high note, formally retiring November 3rd after a stellar performance at the Rio Games this past summer.

    On November 4th, Karim Abdel Gawad became the 2016 PSA Men's World Champion, beating out three-time winner Ramy Ashour at the Wadi Degla club in Cairo, Egypt.

    On the same day, Raneem El Welily became the inaugural Women's Wadi Degla Open winner, defeating World No. 3 Nouran Gohar.

    Continuing an impeccable month of performances, Karim Gawad claimed the 2016 Qatar Classic Champion title on November 18th. The win marks Karim's third major win this season, his second time defeating World No. 1 Mohamed ElShorbagy, and his first World Series title.

    PSA Road to Dubai Standings were released November 21st, and Karim Abdel Gawad came out on top, 25 points ahead of the World No. 1. Rounding out the top standings are ELITE Team's Ryan Cuskelly and Marwan ElShorbagy, tying for 8th.

    Women's Standings place Amanda Sobhy in third, Raneeem El Welily 6th, and Annie Au and Joshna Chinappa tied in 10th.

    Points for Dubai are accumulated at each PSA World Series tournament and determine standings. Only the top 8 players will qualify for the 2016/2017 Dubai PSA World Series Finals.

    Released today, the Professional Squash Association's Road to Dubai Standings place #TeamHarrow's Karim Abdel Gawad in the Number 1 slot, 25 points ahead of current world No. 1 Mohamed ElShorbagy. The announcement comes after Gawad's string of wins including the Qatar Classic and the PSA Men's World Championship.

    Also in the Men's top positions are Harrow's Ryan Cuskelly and Marwan ElShorbagy, both tied for 6th.

    Points are up for grabs at each PSA World Series tournament and determine the Standings. Only the top eight players will qualify for the 2016/17 Dubai PSA World Series Finals, which take place June 6 - 10 at the Dubai Opera House.

    11/18/16 - Karim Abdel Gawad's Qatar Classic win today is the third major title claim for Karim this season, and his second time defeating World No. 1 Mohamed ElShorbagy. Gawad's Qatar Classic win marks his first World Series title. Congrats Karim and GO #TeamHarrow!
