Denver, CO – Harrow Sports, a Denver-based manufacturer of athletic equipment and apparel, announced this week that they have signed a 3-year sponsorship deal as the official equipment supplier of the University of Denver Men’s Lacrosse Program.

"The University of Denver is recognized worldwide for its outstanding academic and athletic traditions. We are honored to now be a part of that tradition, especially right here in our own backyard."

DU is coming off of a strong 2008 season with an overall record of 10-7, earning an at-large bid in the NCAA tournament for the 2nd time in three years. They finished the season ranked 18th in the RPI rankings and grabbed a top-ten ranking by Inside Lacrosse for their incoming recruiting class.

To kick off the new relationship and 2009 season, Harrow will be the title sponsor of the Face-Off Classic tournament hosted at DU’s Peter Barton Stadium, one of the only lacrosse specific stadiums in the country. When asked about the new relationship, DU Coach Jamie Munro stated, “We are excited about our partnership with Harrow Sports. Harrow is a big up and comer in the lacrosse world, and we have been very impressed with the high quality of their equipment. We are also thrilled to have them as the title sponsor for the DU Face-Off Classic. With our 2009 schedule looking to be our most competitive ever, we are glad to have Harrow on our side as we take on some of the best programs in the country.”

Harrow and DU look forward to working together in the local and national markets to develop innovative lacrosse equipment while maintaining a demanding level of excellence, on and off the field.

Head Coach Jamie Munro, a Brown University graduate, is entering his 11th season as head coach of the Pioneers. Coach Munro will be presenting at the 2009 US Lacrosse National Convention January 16-18, 2009, in Baltimore, Maryland.
