Senior captain Corrine McConville converted a penalty stroke in overtime to give Lehighton High School a 1-0 field hockey victory over Selinsgrove Nov. 21 in the PIAA-AA field hockey state championship. McConville flicked her shot to the right corner then dropped to her knees on the turf as Indians’ players and coaches sprinted from the sidelines to celebrate a perfect 26-0 season.
