Acton-Boxborough, Watertown claim high school field hockey titles in Massachusetts

The Acton-Boxborough field hockey team ended the decade the way it began it, by winning an MIAA Division 1 state high school title. The Colonials secured their second Massachusetts championship in three years and their third of the decade with a 3-0 victory over Longmeadow on Nov. 21. A-B finished the season as the only unbeaten, untied field hockey team in the state. The win in the finals was the team’s 21st shutout of the season. Read more at Wicked Local.

The final minutes of the Massachusetts Division 2 state championship field hockey game were so intense, the teams didn’t even know at first when it was over. But then the Watertown High School erupted in celebration after their 1-0 triumph over Central champion Oakmont. Read more at Wicked Local.-
