Big matchups, big wins in N.J., Ohio, Massachusetts
- The folks at NJ.com suggest if you can attend one game today in New Jersey, make it the matchup between Johnson (2-0) and Summit (2-0). Johnson won two hard-fought meetings last season, including the 2008 NJSIAA Section 2, Group 2 championship.
- Sara Murphy scored a goal and assisted on another as Bishop Stang field hockey of North Dartmouth, Mass., beat Seekonk, 3-0, over the weekend. - The Hudson (Ohio) Lady Explorers ran their record to 4-0 as they blanked host Stow-Munroe Falls 4-0 on Sept. 16. Hudson dominated on defense and scored twice in each half as the Lady Bulldogs saw their record fall to 2-2.
