Goalie carries Milford past Portsmouth in New Hampshire

The Milford (N.H.) High School field hockey team owes a big thank-you to senior goalie Sarah Gautier, who carried the Spartans to a key 4-3 win Tuesday over the Clippers of Portsmouth High School. Gautier turned away 15 shots, including six in the game’s final seven minutes, while forward Sarah Curtis netted a hat trick at the other end as Milford (8-2) edged PHS (7-4.).
