Mountain View High School converted a penalty corner with less than a minute to play, lifting the Wildcats to a 2-1 win Monday in a Virginia AAA field hockey semifinal against Lakeland. It was about time: Mountain View had been unsuccessful on its first six penalty corners. In the other semifinal, Frank W. Cox High School was an easy 9-0 winner over South County.
