The playoffs start Friday in the North Carolina Independent Athletic Association. The top seeds: Charlotte Latin, Charlotte Country Day and Durham Academy. This year’s field has grown from 8 teams to 12, reflecting growth of the sport in the state. The semis will be held Oct. 30, with the finals Oct. 31 at Durham Academy.
