Safford’s 3 goals turn the trick for Shipley over Baldwin

Avery Safford scored all three goals as Shipley (Bryn Mawr, Pa.) beat host Baldwin, 3-2, Wednesday in a nonleague battle of field hockey unbeatens. Safford’s third goal (all came in the first half) gave the Gators (7-0) a 3-0 lead, but the Bears (3-1-2) came roaring back to make it a game on goals by Brooke Simone and Nicole Wells.
