USA Leads Series Against Argentina

Last night was the second game of the 4-game series between the USA and Argentina, and we are happy to report that the good guys won, 2-1! The first US goal was scored by Paige Selenski in the first half. For Caroline Nichols, it was a chance to play on her college field, and it definitely proved to be an advantage. With just 4:55 left on the clock, Nichols scored on a drag flick to put the US up 2-0. The US will be playing their next series match at Old Dominion University again tonight, at 8pm. It will be a quick turnaround, but both teams will be ready for the challenge.

Admission is free, so if you are in the Virginia Beach area head over to Powhatan Field to check tonight’s game. Come cheer on the USA! Also, don’t forget about NBC’s televised coverage of Saturday’s final series game between the US and Argentina at 1:30pm. The last game is being held at the National Training Center in Virginia Beach.

USA field hockey just posted a few pictures from the first two games. Check it out here
