Winnacunnet coach doesn’t worry about stars, only the team

Linda Osborne has coached some talented players this decade as head coach of the Winnacunnet (N.H.) High School field hockey team. Three of them have gone onto to play for Division I colleges, including the school’s all-time leading scorer and current University of Maine junior, Mallory Anderson. This season’s Warriors may not have anybody who’ll be playing at the Division I level next year, but that’s fine with Osborne. It’s the sum of Winnacunnet’s parts that has made the Warriors one of the favorites entering the Class L tournament. Read more at SeaCoastOnline.
